Wedding Edit Lab ("we", "us") edits wedding films for videography studios. This policy explains what information we collect when you use weddingeditlab.com or contact us, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Who we are

What we collect
- Your application: your name, studio name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, how many weddings you shoot per month, and the package you chose.
- Where you came from: the ad or link that brought you to the site (for example campaign tags and ad click IDs) and the page you applied from.
- Messages: anything you send us by email or WhatsApp.
- Project files: the footage, audio and reference films you upload for editing.
- How the site is used: which page sections you view, how far you scroll, which buttons and films you click, roughly where your visit came from (for example an ad or a search), and your country, which our server looks up from your IP address. This is measured by our own website without cookies; your IP address itself is not stored, and records are deleted after 90 days.
- Technical data: a shortened, one-way scrambled version of your IP address and your browser type, used only to stop spam and abuse.
Why we use it
- To reply to your application, set up your trial and deliver your edits.
- To send you the emails you asked for, such as your application confirmation.
- To learn which of our ads bring studios to us, so we spend our budget well.
- To protect the site from spam and misuse.
We use your information because you asked us to (your application), because we need it to provide our service, or because we have a legitimate interest in running and improving our business. Where the law requires your consent, such as for advertising cookies in the UK and EU, we ask for it first.
We do not sell your information, and we never use your clients' footage for anything except your edit.
Who we share it with
Only with services that help us run the site and the business:

These providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States and Pakistan. We use providers that protect it with standard safeguards. We may also share information if the law requires it.
Cookies
We use Google Ads cookies to measure which ads lead to applications. If you visit from the UK, the EU or Switzerland, these cookies stay off unless you press Accept in the cookie notice. You can change your mind any time by clearing this site's data in your browser; the notice then appears again.
If you arrive through a referral link (a web address ending in ?ref=), your browser remembers that code for 30 days in its local storage, so the person who referred you is credited if you apply later. It contains only the code, nothing about you. YouTube may set its own cookies when you play a showreel film. Our team's sign-in page uses one essential cookie to keep staff signed in; it is not used for visitors.
How long we keep it
We keep applications and messages for up to 24 months after our last contact with you. If you become a client, we keep what we need for as long as we work together, plus any period the law requires for accounting. Project files are deleted after delivery unless you ask us to keep them for revisions.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, to stop using it for a purpose, or to send you a copy. Email Team@weddingeditlab.com and we will reply within 30 days. If you are in the UK or EU and are not happy with our answer, you can complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).
Security
Applications are stored on our server behind access controls, and only our signed-in team can see them. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
